WIP wednesday

I'm making progress.. yesterday I quilted the little baby quilt size of the new pattern I wrote called "Fallingwater".  This morning I finished sewing on the binding, so that's all done!
I put minkee fleece on the back, which makes it really soft for a little person.  The quilting is all straight lines using a walking foot.
I'm also ready to add another round to this quilt, which has no name yet.
the next round will be the grey and the coral colored squares again,
I'm adding sections as I go, so that the quilting will be more manageable.
I'm tempted to make it up in another colorway...
I'm coming along on cutting down the number of works in progress that I have.  Partly this is by finishing some projects, but mostly it's by giving away some projects to the Serendipity group.  I'd like to have fewer things sitting on my shelves and more things out in the world being used.
Do you give away a lot of your quilts? If so, to who?
This is the link to the Needle and Thread Network WIP round-up  here.

It is number 80 this week!
Thanks for visiting!

March 1st

Today is the draw winners for the giveaway, which I'll publish the post in a little while when I hear from the girls at the store who won the draws there.
In the meantime, I can let you know that the blog draws came out like this:
On another note, my Salt Water quilt is growing!
I've moved on to the next light gray border.  I decided to not repeat the same design as in the first one, so I made a wavy line through the middle, and will put a different pattern on either side of it.
I got a call from Margot, who does longarm quilting here in Saskatoon.  I had sort of forgotten that I had taken her a stack of quilts a while back for her to do her magic on.... but now they were ready!  (Guess I'll have to update my list of ongoing projects)
I picked them up yesterday and am so pleased by the quilting she did on them.
Two of the quilts were from previous years of our Saturday Surprise Sampler blocks.  The one above was using the French General fabrics.
I think that I'll be a bit busy with bindings again!
