Love this!! I'm thinking I may have to measure my life out in squares of chocolate! ;)
ReplyDeletelove your photos and love coffee but is the quote a haunting reminder of the inevitable and somewhat mundane repetition of life or is there mystery and beauty still to be measured as we muse over life while drinking a dark roast, froth covered, cinnamon sprinkled latte in a peaceful setting....I do think that coffee and musing are inevitable companions.
ReplyDeleteI need to put that on a wall hanging.
ReplyDeleteit would make a terrific poster too! beautiful photos, michelle!
ReplyDeletecheers
molly
the squares of chocolate are so you Patti!
ReplyDeleteAnita, and Molly, have you seen those posters where they have all those doors? that's what got me thinking. I love the way a cup of coffee looks in all it's different locations, and variations. You can be anywhere in the world and get a cup of coffee and it is a touch of continuity with everywhere else.
Laurel, yes the quote comes from Prufrock, but you know I don't really get that poem. I like your second interpretation! Perhaps some of the mundane repetitions of life can be sort of comforting in the long run. (some are just boring) I'm sure that monks would have something to contribute concerning this topic.
I'm with Patti (as I don't drink coffee) and think you should do a chocolate one with fabrics to match!! You do such awesome photography.
