I have started a new project. I decided that I needed some decorative spools to hold my special ribbons. So I am making some out of clay. I have posted about this on my Clay blog, but while I was thinking of doing this I googled some images of spools. These are some pictures that I found which are sort of interesting:

I love spools...I have a jar full of wood ones (but then who doesn't?). The embroidered spools and the large spools with the flower ends really caught my eye. Fun!

ReplyDeleteyes patti! we all have some wooden spools stashed away somewhere! i remember my mom making little sheep out of them for me with the addition of some cotton batting and cardboard legs and heads! i had a whole herd of them at one time. my dad made me spool knitters out of them too - i only have one of them left...

I had spools with nails in to make spool knitting too. But we never thought of making sheep out of them. They are an interesting shape.
