Jelly belly quilt in parson gray fabrics

I finished the quilt I was making with Parson Gray  fabrics. It is a pattern called jelly belly by zen Chic.  The actual pattern is for a larger quilt but  I made a smaller version. I sewed the larger version as well but it is getting quilted at the moment. I'm excited to see what Patti is going to do with it.
I used some of the shot cotton "solids" to set off all the patterned fabrics.  The outer solid is a kona cotton in Ivory.
This is the back.  I used one of the shot cottons by Westminster fabrics, and I just love the way it feels.
I think we will make up some kits using this color way at the shop, but for the full size version.  I love this pattern, I want to make it again!

Rearranging

I spent a few hours yesterday updating the notions area at the shop!  In the last year or two we've started to carry more and more rulers and they were all crammed into a little space. So now they are way more easy to see,

Today isn't as warm as I thought it would be, so maybe I ll get some more sewing done, it is fun working on this Zen Chic quilt
The last photo is one that I put on Instagram.  Do you do Instagram?  I only got on to it a couple months ago, but I enjoy it, my user name on it is mimiharris if you want to find me there...

Jelly belly quilt by Zen chic

Once in a while I find a pattern that I really want to make. This pattern company called send sheik has lots of patterns I really want to make. One of them is called jelly belly quilt.
I'm even using the same fabrics that are on the pattern cover, how often does that happen?
These are some of the piece that I cut from the strips just laid out to see their colors.
And here I am matching the fabrics that will go together for each of the blocks.
It's quite a modern style of design and I think it will be just lovely!
These are some of her other patterns. Who knows which one i will make next. I still have a layer cake of this same fabric in my stash!
I'm really tempted by this one. Especially since my friend said that the pattern looks like a zen symbol where they cross their hands.

Isn't the machine quilting on this one beautiful?
Simple but very effective.
I've already sewn one ex and  pluses block quilt so I guess I won't do this one.

Just amazing.
