Well, Hello there May!

I love May!

May has to be one of my favourite months.
Spring has usually arrived by May - or in Saskatchewan's case Summer has made it's debut.
My children were both born in May - that was my strategy for getting summers away from work all those years ago, ha ha!
I'm also a woman who's husband is a CPA-CA.  Starting about February I lose him to the joy that is tax season.  On May 1st, he returns to his regularly scheduled work life and I get a partner back who doesn't look like exhaustion personified.
And the quilt shows pop up in May which I always enjoy.
All in all May is a pretty good month!

Around the shop we are still buzzing about.  We've introduced our Spring and Summer list of classes which can be found on the website.  www.periwinkle.biz - click on the classes tab.  There are lots of fun project classes (Jelly Roll Rug, Clothesline Rope Bowl) and some great garment sewing classes.  There are even some kids' classes too!)  We've also gotten several shipments of new fabrics - also a favourite of mine!  :)  Here are a pics of just two of our newest lines:

This week we getting ready and packing up to drive to Regina for their guild show.  The show is always a fun day filled with lovely quilts, demos (I'll be demo-ing the Westalee Rulers) and a great vendor's market.  We will have our booth there so do stop by and say "hi".  It's always worth the drive.
The rest of May will be consumed with the creation of new kits - look for our new County Lines done up in lovely rich batik colours.  We have a new baby quilt kit using the Yellow Brick Road pattern and the Little Buckaroo line.  Super cute!  In the next couple of weeks our order of Bonnie and Camille's Vintage Holiday should arrive - can you believe the Christmas fabrics are beginning to arrive?!  We will have the complete line as well as precuts.  It's a very pretty offering from this mother/daughter duo.  And yes, I'm a B & C fabric junkie.  :D
I am also working on our row for the Row X Row Experience 2018.  This year's theme is Sew Musical.  We will have a great bundle of 25 fat quarters for the first person that brings a completed quilt in.  And an additional prize if the quilt has our "row" in it!

So I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this fabulous month.  Get outside and enjoy the weather.  Make sure you fit in a bit of quilting.  We always enjoy seeing you and appreciate your business!

Happy Sewing!
-Patti
