What I'm working on today

These are a couple of things I'm working on this week. I have high hopes that the crocheted mesh with weaving might be nearing completion! My original plan was to semi-felt it, but I'm having some second thoughts about that because I sort of like how it's looking now. I would definitely do another project with technique, although the weaving part has taken a lot longer than I thought it would. I've also been doing some random cross stitch. The linen isn't really made for this, so it's a bit primitive in the spacing. I have an idea of using the flower vase motif in a collage.
NB.  I just got my laptop up and running, so I have a garland tutorial for tomorrow!!

Tybee island

This afternoon we went to tybee island for a little while. It was pretty windy, but almost deserted. I think the beach is about 3 miles long. There are dunes, sea oats, little sandpipers, and some nice swings to sit in.

So far.....

Thank you for bearing with me while I try to figure out all the tiny details of how to blog using an iPad. It is quite a lot different from using a computer. One thing that happens is that on the occasion when I am able to upload a photo, it appears on my screen as a string of text instead of the visual image. This could be a bit tricky to coordinate with text. Another detail is that I haven't figured ou how to display the URL of images on the web. On a regular computer you just right click and copy image location. This is also the problem when it comes to adding links.

This are camellias by the entry I just copied and pasted that from a different location!

Test

Hello

Hello! Thanks monika for the better link, and Annette thank you saying hello, and also for going to the shop, verna, I'm glad you made it to the sale, I would love to have gone too. Here, I continue to use the iPad, since the power cord for the laptop is still missing in action. Would have just bought another one, but the last time I. Did that it was almost a hundred dollars, and I'm not too sure how much longer this laptop will be in use. However, I have been reading more of the user manual for the iPad, and have a couple of ideas about how to use it for photos. Apparently there is a little gizmo that I could get that plugs in and also has a place for the cameras SD card, to transfer the photos to the iPad. The camera on the iPad itself is mostly intended for FaceTime applications and is supposedly quite low resolution, however, for what I'm using it for I don't think that they need to be that high quality. More pressing is to figure out. How to get them from the album to the blog. Maybe that will be my project for today! I'm quite happy to report that. I finally got the licence plate for the car! It took about three days, and fourteen stops.
